I have been a fan since day one . my 27 year old daughter was taking swimming lessons , she was about 3 or 4 while in the water with the swim coach your song came on the radio and Jamie sang along knowing every word and the swim coach got out of the water with her, the coach was almost crying and said she knew that whole song every word , she’s so smart and I said well Richard Marx is one of my favorites and we listen to his CASSETTE all the time . I also have a 21 year old daughter Krista and they both grew up listening to your music on CASSETTES.
I want to thank you for that fantastic talent you have of writing and performing such brilliant songs. A lot of your songs have played a part during my lifetime and hearing a song on the radio or hearing it online brings me back to those times. Lots of love and best wishes from your fan in Wales (UK). Best memories of my whole life!
“Right here waiting” was the song that made me start to play the piano and sing and even write songs. Ever since Richard Marx is the biggest inspiration to me and he still touches me with his songs and his voice. Thank you so much from the heart. I once met him after a show in Stuttgart, Germany and I handed him a pictureframe over with a pic of old Stuttgart. Not sure if he keeps such gifts though. I so look up to you Richard!

I love Richard Marx! I have been a fan since 1987. I have been to five of his concerts and plan to go to more. Right Here Waiting is my all time favorite song. I gave him flowers at his 1994 concert and he shook my hand! I couldn’t sleep the whole night b/c i was so excited. When i hear him on the radio or see him on tv, i tell my kids, that’s Uncle Richard

My favorite song of all time!!! What talent you have, love your words, love your music, love your voice. April 9, 1988, Tulsa, OK = my first concert w/o parental supervision. You were GREAT, despite the rain and my friends and me getting soaked, it was worth every moment. It was my most memorable concert ever. I’ve been “right here waiting” for you to come back to Tulsa ever since.

I too am a huge fan of this song but do have one request; what about the song “Children Of The Night”? will you be having some special promotion with this song as well. Today, “Children of the night” remains my favorite of all of your songs and has had such a special impact in our society over the years even in my life and also was even the biggest of all of the songs on your “Repeat Offender” album if i recall. Hi Richard, Right Here Waiting holds very fond memories for me, of my childhood holidays in the UK. I remember when I was 14, being on holiday with my family. I would use my pocket money playing your song on the “Juke Box” in the Amusement Arcade, over and over again. I just loved that song, and still do to this day. My favourite song of all time. Thank you for the memories, thank you for just being a true inspiration x

Have always loved this song. The first time I sang karaoke I sang this song. I was given a certificate by the DJ that had the song title on it and it said that I was no longer a karaoke virgin.
Hi! 23yrs wow…now I feel old. The first time I heard the song it made me cry…in a good way. To this day it still does. It reminds me of a very special person in my life.
