The eponymously titled debut album “Richard Marx” was released in June 1987 and was certified triple platinum.
Additionally, it earned Richard the distinction of becoming the second solo artist in recording history to have four singles from a debut reach the top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100, including his first number one Pop single, “Hold On to the Nights”.
