Richard and Keith Urban have co-written a new song, “Long Hot Summer,” which will be included in Keith’s new CD, “Get Closer,” out on November 16. Says Richard, “We hadn’t written in quite awhile, and we got together at a little rehearsal studio in Nashville a few months ago and nearly finished this song in about an hour. Then I went down to Brazil for some shows and thought we needed a bridge, so Keith and I e-mailed ideas back and forth, and a couple of weeks later he played in Chicago with the Eagles so I met him on his tour bus and we finally finished the lyrics. I’m so thrilled with the record he made of this song. He’s singing his ass off. It’s by far my favorite thing we’ve ever written.”
